Luquire Family Foods Stone Ground Grits

Our all-natural grits and long grain rice hail from Greenwood, South Carolina where we started milling grits and flour in the late 1930s. Once you try them, you’ll never use anything else.

Grits preparation (Serves 6):

  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grits
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  1. Mix all ingredients in a saucepan
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 40 minutes; cook longer for extra creamy grits
  4. Stir often
  5. Add water to thin if necessary
  6. Store in the freezer to preserve freshness
